The “Becoming a Math Family” site helps parents support math learning in young children (ages 3 to 6). This site was created by math learning experts at the University of Chicago and other universities around the country.
Here you will find fun and engaging activities you can do with your child to foster math learning. The activities on this site are intended for adults to do with children, not for children to do on their own. This is because learning math is a social process, and young children learn best through interactions and activities with their parents or other engaged adults. Many of these activities can be done during play or as part of your daily routine with your child.
