On November 27th, Eureka High School hosted the first of the Innovate program’s Business Career Panel Series. It is no secret that women are underrepresented in the Trades industry but one Arcata High School student is eager to add herself to the small population of women dedicating their careers to building and creating. Career Frontiers and the Trades Academy Join Forces

Earlier this week, Jim Ritter and the Career Frontiers program in Northern Humboldt Unified School District joined forces with Jack Sheppard and the Trades Academy to take students from McKinleyville and Arcata High Schools to tour the new firehouse construction that is located near the Arcata-Eureka Airport in Mckinleyville. Arcata Students Tour O&M Industries

Students of the Wood Shop and Metal classes at Arcata High School were treated to a fantastic tour of O&M Industries, located in Arcata. Students learned about the company, got a lesson on creating a project with engineers and then were able to take that project and see how the shop fabricates it.
