The students of Eureka High’s Auto Shop had the opportunity to tour the Lithia Dealership in Eureka through Education at Work’s Trades Academy. John Neely, Lithia’s service manager, provided the tour. The students also got to hear form two of Lithia’s head technicians about what it takes to be employed as an automotive technician. They received a tour of the shop and learned how a technician is able to move through the ranks within a dealership. Sean Mitchell, the EHS auto shop instructor, also attended the tour. He was able to share his experience of working at Lithia in the past. This was an excellent opportunity for students to learn about careers in the automotive industry. Thank you to everyone at Lithia of Eureka for providing the students with such a great tour!
