Throughout the month of November, Education at Work’s College Connect program hosted numerous field trips to Humboldt State University. Local high school students had the opportunity to sit in during lectures, ask questions, and get a feel of what college classes are really like. November’s field trips included visits to HSU classes in Math, Psychology, Native American Studies, Environmental Science, Engineering, Ethnic Studies and Kinesiology. As always, the students had a great time and loved being a college student for a day. It was great for students to compare and contrast their high school experience with what college is like.
A big thank you to HSU and all of the wonderful professors involved for providing our students with this amazing opportunity!
