The Humboldt County Office of Education is asking for the community’s help regarding this year’s Toys For Tots program. See the below PSA from Toys for Tots:

Due to the financial toll of the Coronavirus Pandemic, many more folks are seeking support from Toys for Tots this year more than ever!

Usually, the parents would receive a notice from the schools to let them know where and when to pick up toys. Due to most schools participating in distance learning, several schools in Eureka, Arcata and McKinleyville have not entered their children’s names into this program this year. If families have not entered their names, but did so last year, their names will be moved up from last year.

We are asking community members to help use get the information out to families in need.

Locations for upcoming toy distribution are listed.

McKinleyville- Northern Humboldt – Arcata north

• The empty Rays grocery store- 1500 Anna Sparks Way, McKinleyville
• Distribution days:  Friday – Sunday, December 11^th – 13^th, 9am to 3pm

Eureka

• Eureka Mall – Old Staples building next to CVS– Harris Street
• Distribution days: Saturday – Monday, December 19^th– 21^st, 9am to 3pm

For those that cannot make a day time pick up, there will be a special distribution on Saturday, December 20^th, from 6pm – 8 pm.
