Fortuna Middle School staff has been creating fun contests for students during Distance Learning that are sparking creativity. and boosting morale. They employed STEAM concepts to drive an Easter Bonnet Contest, and held a “First Day of Distance School” photo contest for students.

In addition, many teachers have students using new digital platforms to showcase their learning like Flipgrid. Here’s an example from student Mason Cahill.

They have also moved our award’s assemblies to a digital format. Furthermore, all students are reading a school-wide book together.

The staff even held a drive-thru egg hunt with a dancing bunny where almost 170 kids got eggs! Check out a video of the egg hunt on Facebook!
