Students from Ferndale High School visited the in-progress Myrtle Culvert Replacement Project in Eureka. Steve Kotko, a foreman with Mercer-Fraser, and Brett Vivyan, an engineer with GHD led the tour. The students had the opportunity to see construction and engineering in action. They got an understanding of the emergency project and learned many of the processes and phases for the culvert replacement. This was a great opportunity for students to learn about careers available in Engineering, and the careers available in the Laborers, Carpenters, and Operators Union.
