College Connect Takes Local High Schoolers to HSU and College of the Redwoods

Last week, Education at Work’s College Connect program took groups of high school students to classes at HSU and College of the Redwoods. Students from South Fork High School, Saint Bernard’s Academy, Arcata High School, and McKinleyville High School had an opportunity to participate in these field trips.

At College of the Redwoods, students learned about the college’s Career Education programs and classes. It was also a fun opportunity for the students to see a few of the recent South Fork graduates participating in these programs.

At HSU, students attended classes in Environmental Science and Management, French, and Economics. The students got to sit in during the lecture and participate in a Q&A at the end of each class. It was a week full of learning and exciting information for local high school students that are preparing for their future! Thank you to all of the professors at HSU and College of the Redwoods for hosting these students and answering all of their questions!
